1. Overview
The intelligent monitoring system for urban road tunnels is a comprehensive control and information system and an important part of the entire monitoring system. Through the central computer information network system in the control room, it establishes a fast-response, closely coupled communication network with other subsystems such as equipment monitoring, fire alarm, CCTV, wired broadcasting, and emergency telephones, thereby realizing intelligent tunnel management through the exchange, transmission, processing, and coordination of information.
2. System Requirements
1. Stable and reliable operation, enabling real-time monitoring data collection and centralized management.
2. High bandwidth and large buffer capacity for real-time remote video image browsing.
3. Superior device performance, capable of adapting to complex and harsh environments such as limited on-site space, large temperature variations, heavy dust, and strong electromagnetic interference.
4. Due to limited power supply conditions, low-power relay warning design is required.
5. Since tunnels may be struck by lightning, the network equipment must adopt lightning protection measures to ensure equipment safety.
6. Network equipment shall use industrial-grade gigabit ring network switches, with redundancy required.
7. Dual power supply redundant backup is required to ensure uninterrupted operation of network equipment.

Solution Features
Lightning protection, gigabit ring network, high bandwidth, security, reliability, real-time performance, industrial grade, redundancy.
This solution adopts a three-layer architecture with clear hierarchy, divided into:
Front-end data acquisition layer: including video and images collected by front-end cameras, as well as tunnel-related information collected by front-end PLC controllers, which are connected nearby to fixed RS6010-2GF8T ring network switches. A monitoring point and switch are installed every 100 meters to ensure blind-spot-free monitoring.
Network transmission layer: This solution adopts gigabit ring network redundant backup. The switches inside the tunnel are connected into a ring via gigabit fiber optics. An all-gigabit industrial switch RS6012-4GF8GE is deployed in the tunnel control room and uplinked to the monitoring center, ensuring the clarity, real-time performance, and high bandwidth of HD IP camera video and images. PLC controller data can also be transmitted over the gigabit ring network, ensuring data real-time performance and security. If a fiber link of any device is disconnected, data transmission will not be affected. Using Wintop's independently developed WT-ring ring network technology, the network self-healing time is less than 20ms. When a device fails, it will not affect the normal operation of other devices, enabling regional isolation and fault isolation with extremely high security.
Core layer: CM6024-12GF12GT
The core Layer 2 all-gigabit switch provides stability and reliability for multi-service video data. It supports service isolation, VLAN isolation, and QoS priority transmission of important data, ensuring the network remains smooth, secure, reliable, timely, and stable.
4. Product Advantages
1. Gigabit fast ring network self-healing time < 20 ms
2. EMC Level 4 design, port lightning protection 8 kV
3. Dual power input, power-off alarm
4. Powerful network management functions, supporting SNMP, VLAN, QoS, etc.
5. Harsh temperature tolerance: -40 to 85°C
