1. Overview
The campus video surveillance and alarm system is one of the important components of comprehensive social security management. Any incidents that occur will place immense pressure on public security and may even lead to serious consequences. In recent years, the increasing sophistication and technical skill of criminals necessitate the urgent adoption of high-tech measures for prevention. In the era of advanced digital technology, “multimedia, digitalization, and all-dimensional” are new requirements for surveillance systems, and they indicate a way to fully utilize the surveillance system's capabilities to achieve the goal of “leveraging technology for policing.” The surveillance and alarm system conducts rigorous 24-hour monitoring of key areas in designated locations, providing more effective management tools, significantly relieving the pressure on supervisory personnel, improving the efficiency and quality of management, and enabling remote monitoring of the surveillance area through a remote control center, which allows for real-time recording even when there is no on-duty staff.
2. System Requirements
u Video surveillance (including video wall) to achieve 720P or 1080P high-definition image quality;
u Remote status monitoring and centralized management function for all devices on the network;
u Build a fully digital network video surveillance system and establish a digital monitoring center;
u User login permission management, authorization, and security authentication;
u Massive video data storage and retrieval;
u Alarm information management across the entire network, linked with video surveillance;
u Video and alarm monitoring based on electronic maps;
u The system features high manageability, high scalability, and easy maintenance and upgrades.
3. Solution
Solution Introduction
The system consists of front-end IP cameras, a central management server, a streaming media server, storage IPSAN, a decoding server, and clients. Different types of front-end cameras, including hemispherical, bullet, and speed dome cameras, are selected based on the characteristics of the monitored locations, using IP access.
It is necessary to implement video surveillance measures for important areas within the jurisdiction to ensure safety. The specific details are as follows:
1) A total of 28 video surveillance points to monitor their respective jurisdictions, with video monitoring data stored separately.
2) The video monitoring format for cameras uses 720p and 1080P formats, with an encoding format of H.264.
3) All cameras monitor their jurisdictions 24 hours a day, all year round.
4) Video monitoring data must be retained for 30 days.
4. Product Advantages
1. Gigabit bandwidth with no delay in images
2. Mainstream video super-large frame transmission
3. Strong anti-interference for long-distance fiber optic transmission
4. Provides both external DC power supply and built-in power supply options
