Wintop optical assists in the construction of smart substations of China Southern Power Grid

Building a new power system is the key to the three-dimensional transformation, an important foundation for realizing energy economy, and a key means to ensure energy security and continuity. As a hub node of the power system, the substation plays an important role in the operation of the power grid and is used to convert, distribute and control electrical energy. The electricity from the power station is transported at a higher voltage through the booster station, reducing the loss of the transmission line, so that the electricity can be transported farther. In urban power consumption areas, the voltage can be reduced to a suitable voltage through substations before it can be delivered to enterprises and households. From the power generated by power plants to the consumption of electricity by residents, the power transmission must pass through substations. Our urban life is inseparable from the support of substations. The substation mainly includes the main control room, GIS room, 10 kV control room and power distribution room, etc.

 
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, with the purpose of making the power grid more intelligent, safe, reliable, green and efficient, further accelerated the pace of digital transformation of the power grid, strengthened the construction of intelligent transmission, distribution and power consumption, and made the power grid digital and intelligent. construction, promote smart services, and strive to enhance users’ sense of gain. In order to speed up the construction of a modern equipment management system, improve the network convenience, standardization and security of substations, and improve the comprehensive intelligent sensing capabilities and operation and inspection efficiency of substation equipment, as a qualified supplier of China Southern Power Grid, Wintop Optical will work hard to join hands. 01Project introduction
 
The 110kV Taipingsi power transmission and transformation project is located in Guandu District, Kunming City. It is the first intelligent substation project constructed in the Kunming area of China (Yunnan) Free Trade Pilot Zone. The project covers an area of approximately 7.72 acres, and the main projects include a substation with a designed main transformer capacity of 3×63MVA.
 
In this phase, 2 main transformers (1# and 3# main transformers) will be built first, with a capacity of 2×63MVA, and equipped with supporting buildings. Build 2 new 110kV lines and 4 new 10kV lines. Among them, two 110kV lines are connected from the double-circuit "T" of the 110kV Taipingsi substation to the 220kV Guandu substation and the 110kV Yongzhong substation. The line length is about 2×2.9km, relying on the municipal cable trench. 4 10kV lines, including 1 10kV Liujia line with a line length of about 0.95km; 10kV Baohuasi line with 1 line with a line length of about 0.6km; 10kV Chenjiazhuang line with 1 line with a line length of about 0.45km and 10kV Xianghua line 1 Return, the line length is 0.45km.
 
After the project is put into operation, it will better meet the power supply needs of Wujiaba City’s new central area, provide strong power supply guarantee for urban development, fully empower the province’s green development, and help the high-quality and sustainable development of the power industry.
 
02 Project Challenge
 
The project site is tight on time, has heavy tasks, many points, and a wide range of areas. The safety control measures on the project site are very strict, which is a very severe test for the operation and maintenance personnel. The stability and reliability of the equipment are particularly important. With the acceleration of the "double carbon" process and the deepening of energy transformation, the traditional power system is evolving towards a new power system that is clean, low-carbon, safe and controllable, flexible, efficient, open and interactive, smart and friendly. Its technical foundation, operating mechanism and functional form Profound changes will occur, and the power system will also face unprecedented pressure for transformation and upgrading.
 
Electric power data collection has the characteristics of large scale, wide professional coverage, and multiple data types. The power grid information system is threatened by tens of thousands of potential risks every day. Once it is damaged, loses function or data is leaked, it will even threaten national security and public interests. It is necessary to comprehensively improve the power grid system's ability to prevent security risks.
 
There are many substation equipment manufacturers, complex interfaces, inconsistent network communication protocols and technical routes, difficult network management, and unclear security protection plans. It needs to be formulated and promoted based on factors such as applicability, safety, autonomy, and economy. Personalized total solution.
 
03Project requirements
 
Network equipment needs to meet the following conditions:
 
1.Support DL/T 860 communication.
 
2. Supports power SV sampling data frame exchange delay accumulation function, with accuracy better than 200ns.
 
3. Supports traffic rate limiting function based on multicast mac address.
 
4. Supports two hard contact outputs of device fault and device alarm.
 
5. Supports flow control threshold setting for SV&GOOSE messages.
 
6. Provide MMS communication port, with the function of sending time and status information.
 
7. Support port-based unicast MAC binding function.
 
8. Supports broadcast storm control function, and storm suppression function is enabled by default.
 
9. Supports default modification of power message (GOOSE, GSE, SV) priority.
 
10. Support CSD offline configuration.
 
04Wintop Optical Solutions
 
Through the "three layers and two networks" structure, the smart substation realizes the digitization of station-wide information, networking of communication platforms, standardization of information sharing, integration of system functions, and compact structural design, thereby realizing real-time online analysis and decision-making of the whole station and improving equipment operation reliability. and economical.
 
Wintop Optical has rich product application experience and project implementation experience, is familiar with the operating characteristics of the power grid, and has long-term services in the State Grid and China Southern Power Grid substation and distribution network projects. In the 110kV Taipingsi power transmission and transformation project, Wintop Optical is mainly responsible for 110KV-B network communications. A total of 6 switches are used on the project site, including 4 CM6020P2-N-F16G4 process layer switches and 2 CM6016P3-N-G16 center switches. The 110KV-B1 network is a central switch plus two process layer switches, and the 110KV-B2 network is a central switch plus two process layer switches. The process layer switches upload data to the central switch through the cascade connection port. The process layer switches are respectively connected to intelligent terminals, line protection, main transformer protection, measurement and control, line intelligent wave recording, and main transformer intelligent wave recording, and then upload the data to the central switch.
 
05 Application product characteristics
 
With the rapid development of 5G+ technology, smart grid will become the inevitable choice for global power energy. The complexity of its construction environment also puts forward more customized requirements for the performance of transmission equipment.
