Wintop Optical Supports Intelligent Management of Yan-Luo Expressway
Recently, the news about the deployment of Sichuan's first AI smart traffic toll robot has attracted wide attention. This system replaces traditional manual card issuance and fee collection methods, effectively improving the traffic efficiency at toll stations and creating innovative applications of artificial intelligence and robotics in the field of smart transportation. Project Introduction
The Yancheng-LuoYang Expressway, referred to as Yancheng-LuoYang Expressway, starts from the south of Cangji Town in Yanghe New District and ends at the east of the Sihong West Hub Interchange in Sihong County Economic Development Zone, with a total length of 38.18 kilometers and an investment of approximately 5.856 billion yuan. The entire line includes three toll stations at Sihong North, Yanghe East, and Jiejic, as well as one Sihong service area. Upon completion, the project will not only better meet the transportation needs of enterprises and residents along the road, but also play an important role in strengthening external communication in Suqian, driving the development of characteristic industries and cultural tourism along the line, and forming new growth points.
This project aims to build an intelligent management system for highways integrating video surveillance, data transmission, toll management, and emergency alarm functions. Among them, the switch, as the core device for network communication, is crucial to the stable operation of the entire system. In the implementation of the project, we fully consider the geographical environment, climate conditions, and future traffic flow changes, adopting a series of advanced technologies and products to ensure the smooth implementation and long-term stable operation of the project.
Project Requirements and Challenges
To ensure the safe operation and efficient management of the highway, the project has proposed the following key requirements:
High-definition video surveillance: covering key locations of the highway service area, including entrances, exits, gas stations, and parking areas, requiring high definition, wide-angle, and night vision capabilities.
Real-time video monitoring and analysis: The central monitoring center needs to have real-time monitoring and analysis capabilities, automatically detecting and identifying safety hazards such as fires, accidents, and illegal activities, and generating alarms automatically.
High reliability of the network: Considering the project's geographical environment and climate conditions, the network devices need to meet industrial-grade standards, capable of stable operation in harsh environments for extended periods of time.
Efficient data transmission: Providing high bandwidth and low latency data transmission capacities, supporting the rapid transfer of large volumes of data, ensuring stable transmission of real-time video and data.
Wintop Optical, with its profound technical accumulation and rich experience in the field of intelligent transportation, has customized a professional switch application solution for the Yancheng-LuoYang Expressway Suscip section project. This solution centers around two switch models, CM6124-12GF12GT and RS6112-4GF8GT, and achieves efficient support for the highway network video communication and toll data transmission system through a scientific network architecture design.
01. Ring network structure design: A total of 126 switches are deployed on-site, forming six ring network structures, with each ring network containing about 20 switches. This ring network design not only improves the reliability and redundancy of the network but also ensures that communication can be quickly restored during network failures, guaranteeing continuous data transmission.
02. Hierarchical network architecture: A three-tier network architecture consisting of access layer, aggregation layer, and core layer is adopted. Access layer switches are responsible for collecting data from various site devices (such as vehicle videos, alarm information, etc.) and uploading the data to the backend management system via the aggregation layer switches. This hierarchical design makes the network structure clear and easy to manage.
Wintop industrial switches play an important role in ensuring communication in the Yancheng-LuoYang Expressway Suscip section project, with products successfully applied in key areas such as toll booths, vehicle video monitoring systems, broadcasting systems, lighting systems, and alarm systems. By achieving real-time video monitoring, data transmission, and intelligent analysis, the project comprehensively controls and responds to the operational status of the highway, providing a solid technical support for the smart management and operation of the highway.
